Cebu Archbishop Emeritus Ricardo Cardinal Vidal’s death on Wednesday morning after days of confinement in a private hospital in Cebu City was mourned by netizens.
Inday Faith commented on Facebook. “Our deepest sympathy and condolences to the bereaved family of our beloved Cebu Archbishop Emeritus Ricardo Cardinal Vidal. We may not have seen you in person, but we will remember you forever.”
Craig-egar Ocanada said, “Thank you, Cardinal, for looking at us and the whole of Cebu. We will miss you.”
Venus Baraya said, “God bless you, Cardinal Vidal. Thank you very much for sharing the words of God to us. May you rest in peace.”
Norbs Sarigumba recalled meeting Cardinal Vidal: “One time, when I kissed his ring, I remembered him saying ‘Be a priest, son.’ You will be truly missed, Archbishop. You are now in His arms.”
