Unbeaten Boholano Magsayo spearheads ALA Promotions fight card in Tagbilaran, Bohol

The complete fight card of the much-awaited Pinoy Pride 43: The Battle in Bohol on November 25 at the Wisdom gymnasium in Tagbilaran City was officially revealed yesterday.

The fight card promoted by the renowned ALA Promotions International will be offering nine bouts that will be spearheaded by homegrown Boholano knockout artist Mark “Magnifico” Magsayo (17-0-0, 13KOs), who will be defending his WBO international featherweight title against Japanese ex-world title challenger Shota Hayashi (30-6-1, 18KOs).

The supporting bouts will feature “Prince” Albert Pagara (29-1-0, 19KOs) taking on Tanzanian Mohammed Kambaluta (17-3-0, 6KOs), and Jeo “Santino” Santisima (14-2-0, 13KOs) fighting Indonesian Kichang “The Lion from Borneo” Kim (8-4-1, 2KOs).

Another interesting bout will be that of Cebuano boxer and two-time world title challenger Rocky “Road Warrior” Fuentes (35-9-2, 20KOs) and journeyman Ryan Tampus (11-20-0, 8KOs) of Bato, Leyte.

Fuentes will return to the ring after a one-year hiatus and will be fighting Tampus in a six-round bout in the flyweight division.

Former world title challenger Melvin “Gringo” Jerusalem (11-2-0, 7KOs) will also be included in the fight card as he aims to bounce back from his loss to fellow world title challenger Joey Canoy last July by facing Pedro Taduran (11-1-0, 8KOs) in a flyweight division match.

Tagbilaran City native Virgel Vitor (11-1-0, 7KOs) will try to impress his hometown folks by fighting John Ray Logatiman (6-6-2, 2KOs) of Parañaque City in a 10-round bout in the bantamweight division.

The curtain-opener will feature the unbeaten Christian Bacolod (7-0-0, 5KOs) of Cebu City taking on Valencia, Bukidnon’s Ryan Makiputin (10-12-2, 4KOs). The hard-hitting Roli Gasca (23-8-1, 7KOs) of Barili, Cebu, will also fight Boholano Jason Tinampay (8-6-1, 7KOs) in the featherweight division.
