A new hospital is currently being built in the historic resort city of Lapu-Lapu. Hospital group Allegiant Regional Care Hospitals (ARC) is set to open the four-storey, 100-bed medical facility early next year.

The medical facility is eyed to be the first digital hospital in the country through the aid of its affiliates.
“Our strategic affiliations with ICON SOC, Johns Hopkins Medicine, Napier Healthcare Solutions, and Bluewater Resorts will help increase the way we provide health care to the community in a better way,” ARC Medical Doctor Dr. Alex Alegrado said during the hospital’s media launch last October 18.
The new ARC hospital will be offering five specialty services: cardiovascular, day surgery, endoscopy, major surgery and obstetrics-gynecology surgery.
ARC Hospitals is a new business venture of the Alegrado family who has been in the tourism-hospitality business for more than 30 years. The family is behind the Bluewater resorts and Almont hotels brand.
