AN elderly man was shot down by unidentified motorcycle riding assailants at sitio Saac Highway in Barangay Buaya, Lapu-Lapu City at 9 am Wednesday.
Ubaldo Cabulao, a private security escort and resident of Mahusay compound in Barangay Punta Engaño in Lapu-Lapu City died on the spot from gunshot wounds inflicted by his assailants, SPO1 Luisito Ernie of the Lapu-Lapu City police’s Homicide Section said.
He said the victim drove to work on board a motorcycle towards Mandaue City when his assailants tailed him and the back rider shot Cabulao several times before speeding away.
The victim was unresponsive when brought to Lapu-Lapu City Hospital and died minutes after. The motive for the attack had yet to be known.
