THE best and brightest young basketball players in the country today converge at the Cebu Coliseum to compete for the national championships in the SBP and the Passerelle divisions, in the national finals of the 32nd Milo SBP Passerelle Tournament.

Game time is at 8 a.m. following a brief opening ceremony that will be led by none other than Milo BEST Center founder, Nic Jorge.

Cebu seeks to protect home court as the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu represents the Visayas in the SBP division. The road to the top however, will be bumpy with back to back national titlist La Salle Greenhills returning to defend their crown.

Also contending are Ferndale International School of Zamboanga and Berkeley School of Baguio.

Competing in the Passerelle division are perennial powerhouse San Beda College, Holy Child School of Davao, International School for Better Beginnings of Lucena and Hua Siong College of Iloilo.

The competing teams will play a single round-robin with the top two facing off for the championship.

Many of today’s top players played in the SBP Passerelle tournament long before moving on to the big leagues. This distinguished list includes Chris Tiu, Kiefer Ravena, Kobe Paras, Jeron Teng, Paul Desiderio, Jun Manzo, LA Tenorio and many more.
