THE Philippine College of Physicians Inc. Central Visayas Chapter (PCP-CV) is spearheading another fund-raising activity for their future civic and community outreach programs.

Veering away from the usual grand Christmas parties, the chapter decided to have a fund raising project entitled the PCP-CV Christmas Caravan.

Following the success of their previous fund raising event, they will be sponsoring once again a block screening of the much awaited blockbuster movie, Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi, tomorrow, December 15, 7 p.m. at SM City Cebu Digital Theatre 8.

This is for the benefit of the Medical ward patients of the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center (VSMMC) and Cebu City Medical Center (CCMC).

The Christmas Caravan is going to be a fun-filled activity involving patients celebrating Christmas inside the hospital. It will be on Dec. 23, 2017 and there will be socialization with patients and their watchers, singing of Christmas Carols and a distribution of gift packs.

The last Christmas Caravan of PCP-CV was on December 2015 wherein 300 patients were able to receive hygiene kits and food packs. The PCP-CV also distributed clothes, hygiene kits and food packs to the more than 200 families who were affected by the fire in Sitio Avocado, Barangay Lahug, Cebu City.

To continue the spirit of giving even after the holidays, PCP-CV aims to conduct more medical missions and civic community outreach programs by the first quarter of 2018.
