Jaguars win Refugees Superbruh-wl title

THE JAGUARS once again snagged this season’s title in the 215 Refugees Superbruh-wl Flag Football tournament after beating rivals Assassins, 36-20, last Saturday at the East Visayan Academy in Bulacao, Talisay City.

The Jaguars completed their back-to-back stint this time with a more convincing win over the Assassins after escaping with a close win against the same team in the championship last season.

The Jaguars, who are mostly composed of players from the University of San Jose-Recoletos, came into the finals hot after being undefeated in the three-day tournament.

They took an early 22-14 lead against the Assassins at halftime before pulling away for good in the final half.

Quarterback Kenneth James Sevilla led the team to the victory and brought home the league Most Valuable Player Award in the co-ed tournament.
The team bagged a cash prize of P2,000, a trophy and medals.
