Three robbery suspects nabbed
THREE robbery suspects were arrested in two separate hot pursuit operations in barangays Mambaling and Pahina Central at 4:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
Police Chief Inspector Jacinto Mandal, Carbon Police Station chief, said Josephus Yanong, Temestocles Yanong and Jeremias Manungbao robbed Delia Martillan at 11:29 a.m. on December 25 on Borromeo corner Climaco Streets in Barangay Pahina Central, Cebu City.
Another suspect is still at large.
Martillan, a resident of Barangay Yati, Liloan, identified Josephus as the driver of the motorcycle. She said the suspect took her bag which contained a cellphone and P30,000 cash.
The Yanong brothers are residents of Sitio Mohon, Barangay Bonbon, Aloguinsan town. They rent a room in Barangay Pahina Central.
Manungbao is a resident of Sitio Alaska, Barangay Mambaling, Cebu City.
Mandal said police recovered from Josephus one motorcycle, one homemade .38 revolver with three live bullets and ten small sachets of shabu.
Police recovered one shotgun with 12 live bullets from Manungbao and one 9 mm revolver from Temestocles.
The three are now detained at the Carbon Police Station as cases are being prepared to be filed in court.
