The image of the Señor Sto. Niño was brought to the juvenile detainees of the Cebu City Operation Second Chance Center in Barangay Kalunasan, Cebu City today.
A solemn Mass was held at the center’s basketball gym. Cebu City Councilor Dave Tumulak, the deputy mayor for police matters, said the visit is intended to draw the youth detainees closer to Sto. Niño.
Families of the rescued children inside the center attended the Mass. After the Mass, the image will be transferred to the female dormitory of the Cebu City Jail located near the center for the 5:30 p.m. Mass.
The image will spend the night prior to its return on Wednesday.
