THREE persons including two minors were arrested by elements of the Carcar City Drug Enforcement Unit in a buy-bust operation on Tuesday dawn in Brgy. Valladolid, Carcar City.
Seized from the suspects were 16 sachets of suspected shabu, a .38 caliber revolver with five bullets and P900 believed to be proceeds of their illegal drugs trade.
Police believed that the two minors, aged 14 and 16 were used as drug couriers by Ronel Election Campaña, 21, a resident of said barangay, whom police tagged as a street level target.
The 16-year-old suspect was reportedly a cousin of Campaña.
PO2 Reggie Amad said they apprehended the three when Campaña handed the P200 marked money to an undercover cop. The drugs confiscated from the suspects have a street value of P5,310 according to the police.
Campaña is now behind bars while the two minors are now in the custody of social workers.
