Cebu City Mayor Tomas Osmeña said the City Administrator’s office should handle the pest problem at City Hall’s legislative building.

He said he will talk about it with City Administrator Nigel Paul Villarete. “We’ll let them solve the problem at their own level,” Osmeña said.

The City Council passed a resolution in its regular Tuesday session in which they asked the City Health Office and the Building Maintenance Section (BMS) to conduct an ocular inspection.

Osmeña said he used to have the same problem a few months ago. He said there were cockroaches in his office.

“Naa say mga buaya. Pero wala nako’y mabuhat niana. (In my office) wala na (pests). (In the legislative building), ang nahibilin na lang kay mga buaya,” he said.
