THEIR intense and breathtaking performance earned them a slot in the next round for Pilipinas Got Talent (PGT) Season 6.

The Cebu Electric Cooperative (Cebeco) II Blue Knights received a standing ovation and four yeses from PGT Season 6 judges Angel Locsin, Robin Padilla, Vice Ganda and Freddie M. Garcia during an episode aired last Jan. 7 on the ABS-CBN network.

The group composed of 30 linemen danced at the top of 30-foot-high electric poles.

They started their performance with a military march before they climbed the electric poles
together.

The dancing linemen performed a mash-up of the songs “Katawan” by Hagibis and the popular nursery tune “Baby Shark.”

“Grabe kaayo! Napakaganda tingnan! Ang sabay sabay niyo tingnan sa taas. Walang nagpa-panic. Kahit umaalog yung poste kalma pa rin kayo,” Locsin said after their performance.

For Garcia, who has been with PGT since season one said it was his first time to witness such a performance.

“I think you’re the first in the world to do that. Talagang kamangha mangha ang ginawa ninyo. Ang galing galing niyo. Ngayon lang ako nakakita ng ganyan. Bago!” he said.

Vice Ganda for his part did not also miss the chance to appreciate the group.

“Ang ganda tingnan. Sabay sabay kayong umaakyat tapos sabay sabay kayong bumababa,” he said.

Padilla also told the dancing linemen that they deserved to be called as Cebeco II Blue Knights.

“Iba! Kalmado kayo. Ang galing ng itsura niyo sa taas pati poste kumi-kendeng. Magaling ‘tol,” Padilla added.

THREE MORE FROM CEBU

Another performer from Cebu was 13-year-old Janah Jade Lavador from Danao City who did an arnis exhibition.

Lavador also received four yeses from the judges and was praised especially by Padilla who also practices the same fighting art.

“Mga mahal kong kababayan. Nanalo at tinalo ni Datu Lapu-Lapu si Magellan dahil sa art na yan. Kaya kung merong lugar dito sa Pilipinas, na dapat pinagtitibay ang art na yan kundi Cebuano,” Padilla said.

“Ako’y labis na humanga kasi maraming nagka-kata walang gymnastics na involve, eh. Pero etong ginawa mo may halo na eh,” the actor added.

Aside from Lavador, the Type 1 Dance Company showed a dance routine that wowed not just the audience but the judges. They also got four yeses from them.

“This is what we are looking for— bago. Bonggacious!” Garcia said.

“Type 1, taray!! Type na type ko kayo at number one,” Vice Ganda said.

A 67-year-old woman named Angelisa Del Rosario will also proceed to the next round after getting
a thumbs up from the four judges.

Del Rosario, a coffee vendor from Barangay Banilad, Cebu City displayed her Zumba moves as well as performed the Budots dance, which
became popular a couple of years ago.

The four judges and PGT Season 6 hosts Toni Gonzaga-Soriano and Billy Crawford even joined her on the stage after her audition piece and performed the dance again.

“Napakagaling mo! For me that was one major serious talent. Sa edad na 67 maliksi ka pang sumayaw at hindika mabagal kumilos,” Vice Ganda said.

The first two episodes of PGT Season 6 aired last weekend were held at SM Seaside City Cebu last Nov. 20, 2017.
