WITH TEN more days to go, over 100 bowlers from all over the country have already registered for the 19th Bowlingplex Tenpin Association (BTA)- Cebu Sinulog Open.
The event is slated January 22 to 28 at the Gaisano Bowlingplex in Banilad, Cebu City.
BTA-Cebu president Bel Suelto Jr. said that keglers from Luzon cities of Mandaluyong, Makati, Manila, Imus Cavite, Baguio, Dagupan and Quezon will be participating in the prestigious tournament. In the Visayas region, bets from Bacolod will be joining together with participants from Davao City in Mindanao.
The one-week tournament is sanctioned by the Philippine Bowling Federation (PBF) so the organizers are expecting clubs and bowling associations with the PBF, Philippine Bowling Congress (PBC) and National Bowling Tour (NBT) to be present.
Krizziah Lyn Tabora, who was recently hailed as the 53rd QubicafAMF Bowling World Cup (BWC) champion last November 2017 at Hermosillo, Mexico, will be showcasing her talent as well with the consent of the country’s bowling legend Paeng Nepomuceno. Tabora will be joined by renowned bowler Bong Coo.
Last year, it was Cebu’s young kegler Aui Padawan who brought home the crown for the Sinulog Open Masters championship.
