Netizens were aghast after they learned of the report that two young prominent men in Cebu, including a hotel owner, were arrested for possession of undetermined amount of ecstasy, a prohibited party drug, in Mandaue City.
A netizen named Mel Joseph noted: “I think this guy is rich. Wa gihapon ma kontento ug kwartahan mo sideline gihapon! (They are not contented with the money that they have and are still doing a sideline job!) Don’t let him get out of prison!”
Fritzy Gabura wrote: “It is becoming too frequent na naay ma dakpan inside hotels because they are selling drugs. Tsk!”
Another netizen, Rem Enriquez, suggested that police visibility should be implemented especially in hotels to avoid using them for drug trade. “Deport all chinese back to PROC.”
The suspects were nabbed during a buy-bust operation in A.C. Cortes, Mandaue City, shortly before midnight on Thursday, January 11.
