NO MORE FIREWORKS
Netizens weren’t too happy with Cebu City Mayor Tomas Osmeña’s decision to prohibit the fireworks display for the Sinulog Grand finale.
Karla Rayla Soler wrote, “Way ayu ba! Nasubraan najud. Ok ra ko sa mga way party2 og uban pa pero ang bawalan ang fireworks neg grand finale. Nayabag najd! (It’s not good! It’s too much. It is okay for me not to have parties but no fireworks for Grand finale is unreasonable).”
A netizen named Love Keith Raven said, “Sure ku wala na kau ganhan mu-celebrate ug Sinulog. Haaaaaay [sad face emoticon]. (I’m sure few people don’t like to celebrate Sinulog now).”
Another netizen Hyung Jin Lee said, “Halah noh asta’ng fireworks? Mao bya ni usa sa mga lingaw jud na event sa Sinulog ay. Samot naku di modayun laag sa Sinulog.” (Also fireworks? Really? This [fireworks display] is one of the best events of Sinulog. This made me realize not to roam during Sinulog).”
