FOUR beauty queens from Cebu are officially part of this year’s Binibining Pilipinas pageant.
Eva Psychee Patalinjug, Ena Louis Velasco, Muriel Adrienne Isidore Orais, and Wynonah Buot are part of the 40 candidates as announced by Binibining Pilipinas’ official Facebook yesterday.
Patalinjug, 24, already gave hints to her followers and fans that she is joining Binibining Pilipinas 2018 even before the official 40 candidates were announced.
She posted a photo on her Instagram account wearing two-piece.
“May the odds be ever in my favor. I’m leaving it all up to you. Special thanks to my dream team,” Patalinjug said.
She is also part of Kagandahang Flores (KF) camp, a registered nurse, and a law student at the University of San Carlos (USC).
Patalinjug won several titles including Ms. CVRAA 2007, Mutya ng Palarong Pambansa 2008, Ms. PRISAA 2010, Ms. Cebu 2014 first runner-up, and Mutya ng Pilipinas – Asia Pacific International 2014.
According to KF’s official Facebook page, Patalinjug is currently with End Child Prostitution, Child Pornography and Trafficking of Children for Sexual Purposes (EPCAT) which is a non-government organization (NGO) that helps children and women who are victims of violence.
Just like Patalinjug, Velasco on her part is also under KF camp.
According to KF’s page, Velasco is a 25-year old Biology graduate from University of St. La Salle in Bacolod.
She had her Doctor of Medicine from Southwestern University- Matias H. Aznar Memorial College of Medicine in Cebu City and taking up her post graduate internship at Adventist Medical Center Manila.
Velasco is an advocate of maternal, newborn, and child health awareness and accessibility in the far flung areas of the Philippines.
She won several titles including MassKara Queen 2012, Miss SWU 2014 and Miss Mandaue 2015.
The third KF member from Cebu City is Orais.
According to KF’s Facebook page, Orais,26, is a registered nurse, flight attendentant and a presidential cabin crew, and a TV and print advertisement model.
She spent her three years studying Bachelor of Science (BS) in Nursing at Velez College in Cebu City and finished her degree at National University (NU) in Manila.
The Aces and Queens also has a Cebuana beauty queen on their roster in this year’s Binibining Pilipinas pageant.
Buot, 24, was crowned Miss Cebu 2015. She finished Mass Communication at University of the Philippines Cebu.
She already announced through her Instagram account as being part of Binibining Pilipinas 2018.
“IT’S OFFICIAL–Thank you to my family, friends, supporters, and of course @aces_and_queens for the love and support. I wouldn’t have done it without you. Lord, this one’s for you. Are you ready for it? Let the games begin! #BBP2018,” she said in her post.
