8 things you need to survive Sinulog

You can feel, hear and see it! The Sinulog fever is here! And we’re sure you have something planned for Sunday’s Grand Parade.

To save you some precious time, here is CDN’s list of Sinulog essentials–things you need to pack in your Sinulog bag. These top 8 items will save you time, make your Sinulog experience hassle-free and will come in handy in case of emergencies.

1. Sunglasses – Look stylish and protect yourself from the sun with a nice pair of glasses.

2. Extra Shirt – This should be a no-brainer. Always bring an extra shirt during Sinulog. Who knows, a splash of paint might be just around the corner. Also, you may sweat excessively due to the heat of the sun and the crowd. Or it may rain. It pays to always be ready.

3. Water. Sinulog means long walks from one destination to another so don’t forget to hydrate. Bring your own water tumbler.

4. Wallet and cash. Who doesn’t need money during Sinulog? There will be lots of food stalls on the streets and you may want to score a souvenir or two. Just don’t bring too much cash and always be mindful of your valuables.

5. Cellphones. Of course, you need your ever reliable mobile phone in order to communicate with your friends or family members. And for capturing precious moments for your Instagram stories or Facebook My Day. And never, ever forget your power bank.

6. Umbrella. Rain or shine, this is one trustworthy companion. Find a handy, foldable one.

7. Whistle. Aside from your sunglasses, accessorize with a whistle so you can feel all the more festive. And you may need it too in case of an emergency situation.

8. Foldable fan. A cool breeze is what you need when you’re tired from all the walking and watching and just want to take a break and relax on the sidewalk.
