Daanbantayan Festival Queen representitive Isabel Luche drew raves from netizens after her photo on Facebook went viral with her Filipino rural life-themed gown decked with designs of “bahay kubos” or Filipino native huts, coconut trees and rice fields.

A netizen named Eder Eduardo wrote, “This would be our Miss Universe costume! Tingnan natin kung hindi kabugin ang tuktok ng Thailand … Haha. (Let’s see if we won’t beat the peak of Thailand. Haha).”

Another netizen named Erwin Malayo Mellijor said, “Pinakanindot/creative nga costume nga akung nakita. Congrats sa designer! Viva Señor Santo Niño! (The best and creative costume that I’ve ever seen. Congratulations to the designer!).”

Netizen Anig Yu said, “Kinsay designer ani? Kudos to the designer. Perfect!” (Who is the designer of this [nature-themed gown]. Kudos to the designer. Perfect!).”
