SIGNAL SHUTDOWN
Netizens were dismayed when they learned that the Police Regional Office in Central Visayas (PRO-7) has recommended to the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC-7) to shut down cellphone signals for the Sinulog grand parade this coming Sunday.
Netizen Tom Abalos wrote: “Unsaon nlang among mga kasabot na mag sakay? Maypag dili nalang ani oi!!!”
(What will happen to us to have made arrangements to car pool if we cannot communicate with each other? I hope they will reconsider!)
Patrice Fernandes said: “Kung karong hapit na ang Sinulog karon pa sila nag announce (Why did they announce it too late)?. You could have told us ahead of time para maka prepare pud ang ubang tao ba!
Vanessa Angelie was, however, more bothered that netizens were more focused on the signal shutdown rather than giving time to attending the Masses for the Señor Sto. Niño.
“Ang ubang tao kai focused kaau sa signal shutdown. Instead na mo simba sila ni Sto. Niño, mas nihatag pa silag time aning signal shutdown.”
