Cebu, Mandaue and Lapu-Lapu cities to receive new police cars

Twenty brand new police patrol cars were recently delivered to the Police Regional Office in Central Visayas (PRO-7).

Supt. Reyman Tolentin, spokesperson of PRO-7, said the vehicles were among the 87 Montero units donated by the Japanese government to the Philippines.

Ten patrol cars will be given to the Cebu City Police Office.

Five vehicles will be released to the Mandaue City Police Office, and another five to the Lapu-Lapu City Police Office.

With the new vehicles, Tolentin challenged the policemen to do a better job to ensure peace and order in their community.

“We expect the police to react promptly. They don’t have any reason now not to be able to perform their jobs well and not to respond to alarms immediately,” Tolentin said.
