PHILIPPINE billiards icon Francisco “Django” Bustamante topped the 20th Annual Derby City Classic One Pocket division held at the Horseshoe Southern Indiana in Elizabeth, Indiana in the US last Saturday.
Bustamante, one of the top players of sportsman/businessman Aristeo “Putch” Puyat of Puyat Sports, beat American Justin Bergman in the championship match, 3-1, to run away with the title.
Last Tuesday, another Filipino cue master, Roberto “Pinoy Superman” Gomez, ruled the Derby City Classic Bigfoot 10-Ball Pool Championship. He beat Feder Gorst of Venezuela, 11-10, in the finals.
Bustamante is currently leading in the race for the Master of the Table/All Around champion.
