LIZA Soberano and Enrique Gil, known to their fans by their portmanteau LizQuen, are set to play warriors in a new fantaserye.
The official trailer of “Bagani” was released Wednesday night via the Star Creatives Television official page.
The post read, “The greatest fantaserye inspired by Filipino mythology of 2018 is HERE! Are you ready for a glimpse of Bagani?”
In the trailer, Gil was introduced as Lakas living from the desert. His parents are Agos (Albert Martinez) and Lila (Ana Abad Santos).
Soberano, on the other hand, portrays Ganda from the land of farmers. She then meets Lakas who pretends to be their ally.
“Ikaw magsanay sa amin sa pakikipaglaban,” Ganda said.
“Tutulungan ko kayo,” Lakas answered.
Little did she know that Lakas was asked by the villains to help them conquer their land for him to protect his mother.
The newest fantaserye also stars Sofia Andres, Makisig Morales, Matteo Guidicelli, Precious Lara Quigaman, and Ryan Eigenmann.
Bagani is the third teleserye of Soberano and Gil for the Kapamilya network, following “Forevermore” in 2014 and “Dolce Amore” in 2016.
Directed by Richard Arellano and Lester Pimentel under Star Creatives, “Bagani” is the first fantaserye of the popular love team.
Aside from Bagani, Soberano is set to star as the iconic Darna in an upcoming film of the Pinoy comic superhero.
