Police arrested a 32-year-old woman at Deca Homes, Barangay Cubacub, Mandaue City, after evidence linking her to the illegal drug trade were found in her house.
The woman, Jerty Jen Oralde, is the wife of Alberto Oralde, an inmate at the Cebu City Jail whom police described as the former “right hand man” of slain Cebu drug lord Jeffrey “Jaguar” Diaz.
Police found four packs of suspected shabu, drug paraphernalia, notebooks with a list of supply deliveries, Ziplock plastic bags with traces of suspected shabu, assorted mobile phones, jewelry and several plastic packs of assorted coins.
They also found two small vaults, with one hidden under the tile floor.
Canduman Police chief Senior Insp. Raymundo Enriquez Jr. said the operation resulted from weeks of surveillance which began last December.
He said his men waited for a chance to transact with Jerty through a test buy and then applied for a search warrant as soon as they confirmed that she was into the trade.
Four errand boys in Oralde’s house were also arrested; while her five children, aged one to 16 years old, were brought to her sister’s house nearby as suggested by police.
Police took one black Toyota Fortuner and two motorcycles believed to be used by Oralde in the illegal drug trade.
Oralde denied she was still into the illegal drug trade saying that the items found in her house were just “old belongings.”

Around P3 million worth of illegal drugs were seized by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Central Visayas (PDEA-7) in two separate anti-drug operations, Thursday.
PDEA-7 Public Information Officer (PIO) Leah Albiar said one of those arrested, identified as 28-year-old Alfiel Chu, was a “high-value target” with a pending warrant of arrest for a July 2015 drug case.
Albiar said Chu was a big time supplier with a drug distribution network covering the entire Camotes Island as well as neighboring towns in mainland Cebu.
PDEA operatives were able to seize one kilo of shabu from Chu’s cohorts during the raid in 2015, but he managed to elude arrest.
The suspect finally fell into the hands of PDEA operatives on Thursday afternoon, along with three others identified as Alfiel’s cousin James Chu, 31, Ruben Roy Dabaton, 21, and Mark Vicent Jorquia, 35. All are residents of Barangay Union, San Franciso.
350 grams of shabu valued at P2.6 million were confiscated from them.
In Cebu City, PDEA arrested six people in a suspected drug den in Barangay Suba.
Armed with a search warrant, PDEA agents swooped down on 50-year-old Anabelle Solis also known as Maribel Abellana, a widow who allegedly run the joint.
Seized were 24 packs of shabu valued at P350 thousand, drug paraphernalia and P753 believed to be drug proceeds.
Five others inside the drug den were also arrested.
