At least 334 passengers were left stranded in Cebu due to the Tropical Storm Basyang.
The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has issued a gale warning, leaving at least 27 passenger vessels suspended in some ports.
As of 6 a.m. today, ports that have cancelled trips are Pier 1 and Pier 3 of Cebu City; Santa Fe; Bato, Santander; Camotes Island; Hilton Warf in Mandaue City; Tangil, Dumanjug; Samboan; and Tabuelan.
Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Cebu Station Ensign Ronnie Eras said that the search and retrieval operation for three missing children after a motor banca capsized last week off the waters of San Francisco, Camotes Island was also temporarily suspended today due to the rough seas brought by the typhoon.
Eras advised the public to continue monitor the weather.
