Cebu Gov. Hilario Davide III announced that he will be filing his itinerary on his recently concluded trip to South Korea before the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) in Cebu province anytime this week.
This after President Rodrigo Duterte ordered public officials to disclose information about their recent travels abroad.
Davide made the announcement two days after he arrived from South Korea to represent Cebu province in the East Asian Tourism Forum (ETOF).
“Definitely, we (public officials) will file a report before the DILG. In my case, I just came from Korea, so I will file within the week,” he said.
Duterte, on his visit in Cebu City last Monday, repeatedly made his warning to government officials against going abroad often to attend conferences and summits using taxpayers’ money.
