‘Meet Me in St. Gallen’ earns 50M

CARLO Aquino and Bela Padilla’s first movie together has earned P50 million and is now on its second week.

Spring Films Inc. officially announced yesterday through an Instagram post that “Meet Me In St. Gallen” continues to rake in at the box office, since it opened in cinemas last February 7.

“Maraming salamat po!! #MeetMeInStGallen earned 50 million!! At sobrang taba po ng aming mga puso sa patuloy niyong pagtangkilik sa aming pelikula!! Salamat sa lahat ng nagalit, naggigil, naghanap ng away, nasaktan at nagmahal pagkatapos mapanood ang Meet Me In St. Gallen,” Spring Films Inc. said as they shared the good news on Instagram.

Spring Films’ post also claimed that “Meet Me In St. Gallen” is the number one local movie for February.

The movie talks about the story of two strangers named Celeste (Padilla) and Jesse (Aquino).

Padilla, on her Instagram story, thanked her fans and followers for supporting their movie.

“Thank you for making us stronger on the second week,” Padilla said.

Directed by Irene Villamor, the movie was partly shot in St. Gallen, Switzerland. It is produced by Spring Films and Viva Entertainment Inc.

Villamor on her Instagram account shared a group photo with Padilla and director Joyce Bernal.

“Thank you thank you thank you to @springfilms and @viva_films for trusting and greenlighting this movie! #MeetMeInStGallen is still showing in cinemas nationwide, habol na,” Villamor said.
