Members of the Provincial Board (PB) speak in Cebuano-Visayan dialect during their regular session today following the provincial ordinance that mandates Capitol officials to speak in their native tongue every last week of February.

From raising objections, giving second motions, and introducing visitors presented during the session were spoken in Cebuano-Visayan dialect.

Majority Floor Leader, PB member Jude Thaddeus Durano – Sybico, also read out loud the calendar of activities which was written in Cebu’s native language this afternoon.

Former PB member Julian Daan penned the ordinance titled “Semana sa Pinulongang Bisaya” which was approved in 2012, and aimed to further enrich Cebuano culture and heritage.
