Three illegal traders of butane products were arrested in Sitio Dancar, Danao City, Cebu on Thursday morning.
The suspects were identified as Jose Marlito Mandolado, 53; and Benancio Balansag, 31, both from Sitio Dancar, Barangay Dunggoan of the same city; and Sabiniano Banagasa, 53, from Barangay Maguikay, Mandaue City.
Policemen confiscated 17,350 empty butane canisters; 9,050 loaded butane canisters; 3 liquid petroleum gas (LPG) tanks; 2 weighing scales; 1 compressor; refilling tank machine equipment; cash money amounting to P13, 600; and P1,400 marked money.
Police Superintendent Jaime Quiocho Jr. of Danao City Police said that they also found an unlicensed .45 caliber pistol in the area.
The suspects are now detained at Danao City police precinct pending the filing of charges against them.
