Reyes was in Cebu for more than a week along with other Kapuso stars for the new television series “Inday Will Always Love You” headlined by Barbie Forteza and Derrick Monasterio.
While on location in Bantayan Island, the actress posted on Instagram a photo of freshly expressed breast milk.
“Before I left, stored some breast milk for my baby Gavin. Today pumped 6oz and I’m willing to donate this, since I’m here in Sta. Fe, Bantayan Island, Cebu. You may be nearby. Just DM me,” she said on the post.
At the “Inday Will Always Love You” press conference last weekend, Reyes disclosed why she decided to share her breast milk.
“When you are breastfeeding talagang kailangan mo rin mag-pump kahit andito ka sa Cebu. So sayang naman kesa itatapon. Pinost ko na lang baka may nangangailangan,” Reyes told the Cebu entertainment press.
The 39-year-old actress, who has been married to actor Christopher Roxas for more than 12 years, has four children—Gian Christopher, Aquisha, Grant Carlin and Gavin Cale.
Youngest child Gavin-Cale, at 10 months old, is still breastfed by the seasoned actress.
“True enough sa Bantayan, meron po. Pinik up nila,” she said.
It turns out that the beneficiary of the milk comes from the same church where the Reyes family goes—the Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC).
“In my own little way naka help po tayo sa mga babies with the milk. Breastfeeding advocate po ako,” she said.
In January, Reyes was praised by netizens after she shared a photo of her nursing Gavin Cale before she and her husband renewed wedding vows in Tagaytay.
