Global Cebu faces Yangon United anew

THE PHILIPPINES’ Global Cebu FC looks to post its first win as it faces top contender Yangon United of Myanmar tonight at the Rizal Memorial Stadium in Metro Manila as the Group G of the ASEAN Zone in the 2018 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Cup group stage starts the second round of eliminations.

Global Cebu has yet to post a win after three games and is languishing at the bottom of the group with only a point to its name following a 0-1-2 win-draw-loss record.

“Well, at the moment, we cannot afford to drop points to stay in the competition so the focus is to win this game tomorrow (today) at home,” said Global Cebu head coach Marjo Allado during the match’s press conference.

Global Cebu is in for a tough match as Yangon United just last week blanked the team, 3-0, at the Youth Training Centre in Yangon, Myanmar.
