The irony of seeing a spate of fire incidents that happened in Cebu amid the annual observance of this year’s Fire Prevention Month is not lost among netizens.
The latest fire outbreak occurred in Barangay Basak, Lapu-Lapu City and damaged 300 houses.

A netizen named Analiza Mojado Pinote commented, “Sunog nasad!” (Fire incident again!)
While Alvin Sumarago Esarza said, “Kinsay taga Basak, Lapu-Lapu? Naa daw sunog” (Who are from Basak, Lapu-Lapu City? There’s a fire.)
