‘ONE IN A MILLION’
The passing of Vice Mayor Alan Adlawan of Asturias town in northwestern Cebu, who succumbed to lung cancer on March 23, is being mourned by the residents of the town, some of whom have taken to social media to express their sympathy to his family.
Adlawan, who began his political career in 2007 after he was elected as mayor of Asturias town, died at the age of 56.
“He is a great loss to the town of Asturias. He was the former mayor of Asturias and he led this simple fishing town to progress,” said Mayor Jose Antonio Pintor, who ran in tandem with Adlawan in the 2016 elections under the Garcia-led One Cebu party.
Julian Cumad wrote, “Asturiasnon. May you rest in peace our Legendary, one in a million, mayor. [sad emoticon]”
A netizen named Daphne Modelo Rellanos commented, “halaaaaa (Oh my!) condolence boss allan & family [sad emoticon]”
