The Don Bosco Boys Home (DBBH) has taken over the top of the leaderboard after remaining as the only team undefeated in the ongoing Hyundai Cup 2018 Champions League held at the Fr. Julian Hernando Football Field located inside the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC) campus in Canduman, Mandaue City.

DBBH of Liloan has accumulated 10 points after a 3-1-0 win-draw-loss record capped off with a 1-0 win over defending champions SHS-AdC.
Bernard Montecino scored the lone goal for DBBH as the Magis Eagles suffered their first loss in the tournament.

DBBH also edged Great Oak Manor (GOM), 3-2.

Earlier in the day, the Magis Eagles defeated last year’s runner-up Don Bosco Technical College (DBTC), 1-0, following a goal from Kian Partosa.
The Magis Eagles and DBTC have the 9 points each on same 3-0-1 cards.

However, the Greywolves take the second spot on the strength of its goal difference of 8 points. Ateneo de Cebu only has a GD of 4 points for third spot.

After losing to Ateneo, DBTC bounced with a 4-0 win over Abellana National School (ANS), who was also blanked by Paref Springdale, 0-3.
The Titans are currently at fourth place with four points on a 1-1-2 card.

ANS is at the bottom with only a point on a 0-1-3 record.

The visiting GOM from Manila has the same record as the ANS but has a better GD, thus, it is up at fifth place.

This invitational Born 2002 11-a-side tournament is organized by Hyundai and SHS-AdC in cooperation with the Ateneo parents and is sanctioned by the Cebu Football Association.

As a sidelight, GOM coach Darren Hartmann, a former member of the Philippine Azkals, will be holding a clinic for 12 years old to eight years old this 1 p.m. before the fight for third and the finals.

Trophies and medals will be awarded to the winners while special awards will also be given such as the Most Valuable Player, Best Goalkeeper, Best Defender, Best Midfielder and the Golden Boot.
