ON its 26th year, the longest running firearms show is finally coming to Cebu City! This April 5 to 8, the AFAD Defense and Sporting Arms Show (DSAS) will hold their exhibit at the Queen City of the South.

The exhibit will showcase the hottest variety of firearms, ammunition, and shooting paraphernalia at the Cebu Trade Hall.

This is the first time that a firearm show will have on-site releasing of firearms where visitors may enjoy the perks of taking home their newly purchased firearm/s on the same day as long as they have a current and valid LTOPF. You may visit AFAD’s Facebook page for more info on this.

DSAS will be bringing the PTCFOR application to help out anyone who may want to process their permit to carry applications during the show.

DSAS continues to be of service to its loyal patrons and new visitors. The show in Cebu will also have the “PNP LTOPF Caravan” to assist applicants for License to Own and Possess Firearms (LTOPF), Provisionary License to Own and Possess Firearms (PLTOPF) including Neuro-Psychiatric Test, Drug Test, Directorate for Intelligence Clearance, NBI Clearance and of course the LTOPF and Firearm Registration Card Printing all in the comfort of an air-conditioned venue.

A gun safety seminar will also be available at the show from April 5 to 7 at 2 PM and 4 PM per day for all aspiring firearm owners.

To make the show even more exciting, Police Community Relations Division of the Police Regional Office 7 (PRO7) and the Philippine Army will conduct job fairs and feature thrilling displays at their respective booths. Along with this, the PRO7 Band will be in attendance to entertain visitors and exhibitors at the show.

The DSAS is organized by the Association of Firearms and Ammunition Dealers of the Philippines, Inc. (AFAD), whose mission is to uphold responsible firearm ownership and to promote the firearms and ammunition industry as well as sport shooting.

DSAS will continue its three-part series in Manila on July 12 – 16 and November 15 – 19. /PR
