Two robbers forcibly entered a print shop in Mabinay town in Negros Oriental and fled with P11,000 cash on Tuesday.

Beverly Ruiz, 69, the owner of the Ruiz Printshoppe, reported the robbery to the police at 2 p.m. when she learned about it, said Supt. Kat Ramos, Negros Oriental Provincial Police Office information officer, in a phone interview.

Ruiz said that she only learned about the robbery when she arrived at the shop and was told by her helper two armed men entered their shop at 1:30 a.m. by destroying the lock of the main door using a metal bar.

The helper, who was sleeping inside the shop at that time, woke up and was held at bay by the robbers when they pointed a gun at him.

The helper told Ruiz that the robbers then took the P11,000, which were the proceeds of the shop for the previous day, and fled.

Police were still investigating the incident.
