NO to body shaming.
This is Kapuso actress Gabbi Garcia’s message to fans and critics, encouraging them to love their own bodies.
In an Instagram post on Monday, the “Sherlock Jr.” star admitted that she gets bullied every time she posts photos of her in a swimsuit.
Garcia posted a photo wearing a one piece swimsuit while sitting on a white sand beach.
“Yes I have no boobs, I’m flat chested plus I have my own fair share of stretch marks. And I don’t see anything wrong with it,” she said.
The 19-year-old actress said she loves her body even if others’ definition of being sexy does not conform to her body type.
“Nobody deserves to be bullied just because of your body. We are all beautifulin our own way,” she ended her post.
Garcia’s Instagram photo has gained more than 190,000 likes. The star’s post on her official Facebook page has more than 60,000 likes and 16,000 shares.
Fellow celebrities showed their support for Garcia, with fellow Kapuso actress and former “Encantadia” star Kylie Padilla commenting on the post with: “Ganda mo.”
Actor Rodjun Cruz reacted with a heart emoticon while singer Leila Alcasid left the comment “I love you.”
Model and singer Kiana Valenciano told Garcia that she is beautiful.
“Girl you are beautiful! Anyone who can’t see that is blind,” Valenciano said.
