Some 2,500 runners have already enlisted for the Fourth SM2SM Run set to unfold this coming February 16 at the SM City Cebu.
Included in the 2,500 cast will be the formidable Kenyan pack who are again expected to provide stiff challenge to the local elite runners in the premier running event according to SM
Prime Holding Inc.’s Renato Leduna Jr. who announced the number of runners who registered as of yesterday.
The cash-rich running event will feature a 21-kilometer half marathon race as well as 12k, 6k and 3k distances with a total of P288,000 worth of cash prizes to be awarded to the winners.
Organizers will also raffle off two round trip tickets to Shanghai, China via Cathay Pacific, one Suzuki Scooter, Galaxy Note, Acer Tablet and a digital camera.
The beneficiaries of the annual race is the Barangay Pulang Bato in Bogo City, the Cebu Newspapers Workers Foundation (CENEWOF), and the Cebu City Task Force on Street Children.
The champions both male and female in the 21k race will bring home P50,000 each. Winners in the 21k couples category will receive P3,000 worth of SM Gift Certificates and an overnight stay at the Radisson Blu Hotel while the 12k couples division champions will receive the same prizes.
Registration is still going on at the SM City Cebu Northwing area. Registration fee for the 21k is pegged at P750; 12k at P600 and P350 for the 6k and 3k divisions.
