Cebu City Mayor Tomas Osmeña’s assurance that the P16 billion Cebu Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) will proceed despite delays drew mixed reactions from netizens.
Dale L Roach said,”For the BRT to work, the street will need to be widened.”
A netizen, Wilson Pereña Go wrote,”Where will BRT pass? Current roads are congested already.”
Another netizen, Cezar Ryan Ong replying to Wilson Pereña Go’s comment, “Based on 2013-2014 feasibility study it is concentrated mainly in SRP.”
The mayor blamed arch critic and Presidential Assistant for the Visayas, Michael Dino for the reorganization of the BRT project management office which is seen to delay project implementation.
