The police’s drug operations continue with the Talisay City police arresting two persons, one of them what they described as a high value target, and confiscating a half million worth of suspected shabu on Monday.
Elmer Macarambom also known as “Welmer Oca ‘Akyat'” and her common law wife were arrested in a buy-bust operation in their house at 7 a.m. in Sitio Suba, Barangay Tangke, said Insp. Inar Vic Florece, Talisay City Police Station’s Drug Enforcement Unit team leader, in a phone interview on Monday.
Florece said that Macarambom was also served a warrant of arrest for a drug peddling case after the buy bust operation where he was caught with a medium pack and 16 sachets of suspected shabu.
He said the confiscated illegal drugs weighed 84.1 grams with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board value of P562,000.
Judge Glenda Go, Branch 65 of the Regional Trial Court in Talisay City, also issued the warrant of arrest against the suspect.
Aside from that he said that Macarambom had been on their list of level 2 high value targets.
A few minutes later, a separate buy-bust operation also in the same sitio and barangay led to the arrest of of a 35-year-old woman who was caught with 8 sachets of suspected shabu weighing 0.4 grams with an estimated DDB value of P4,000.
Baby Cheryl Obsequias was arrested after she was caught with the suspected shabu during the operation.
The suspects were detained at the Talisay City Police Station pending the filing of charges.
