The Environmental Management Bureau is conducting an investigation against owenrs of hotel which is set to rise in Barangay Punta Engaño, Lapu-Lapu City.
EBM envestigators said Emerald Hotel is being constructed without securing a permit from the EMB-7.
Residents of the area also complained that the ongoing construction has resulted to cracks on the wall of their houses.
Some equipments used by the company, the residents said, also emits obnoxious smell and dust that affected their health.
