Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) candidates in Consolacion town, northern Cebu will take part in a town hall meeting to unveil their platform of government to their constituencies.
This came after the Commission on Election (Comelec) office in Consolacion approved a youth organization’s proposal to conduct a series of town hall debates in each of the town’s 21 barangays.
Consolacion Youth Organization Vice President and townhall events head organizer Alvin Duazo told Cebu Daily News that organizing the town hall meeting is part of their commitment to foster well-informed decision making among the youths.
The town hall meeting will be divided into six parts. The candidates will present their platforms, answer questions on local and national issues and present their solutions to prevailing problems in their community.
Duazo said they are open to coordinate with other youth organizations who would want to stage their own town hall meetings.
