Rep. Raul Del Mar said there is a need to fight traffic “over and under.”
He proposed the construction of tunnels which he said i “practical and cost-efficient,” and no existing structures on the grounds are demolished.
Del Mar presented a program wherein he wants tunnels to be built in three corridors — Jakosalem, F. Sotto, and Talambam; Salinas drive to S. Osmeña road; and Cardinal Rosales, F. Cabahug to Hernan Cortes.
Del Mar explained that building tunnels will double road capacity as no disruption is made on grade.
LRT or monorail as above grade is also another component, he said.
These projects were the ones not endorsed by the RDC-7 but Del Mar vowed to fight for these in Congress.
