TWO resolutions calling for the provision of a patrol vehicle for the Cebu City police chief and a revival of the Adopt-a-Station program were passed by the Cebu City Council late last month.

Councilor Joel Garganera, who authored the two resolutions, said mobility is imperative for Senior Supt. Joel Doria, Cebu City police chief, to help monitor the city’s peace and order situation.

“Following the six-month closure of Boracay, there is an expected increase of tourists and high-level conventions in Cebu City,” he said.

The Adopt-a-Station program seeks to draw support from stakeholders like the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) to renovate the city’s police precincts.
