Rider Omega Tri Team dominates

Cebu-based triathlon team has nine titles and 10 podium finishes in Dipolog Triathlon 105

The Rider Omega Tri Team from Cebu ruled the Dipolog Triathlon 105 in Dipolog City last Sunday, winning nine titles en route to bagging the overall title of the race.

Aside from the nine titles, the team also had 10 podium finishes in the event, which featured standard distance (1.5-kilometer swim, 60k bike, 15k run) and sprint distance (750m swim, 30k bike and 7.5k run).

Leading the way for Rider Omega were Banjo Norte and Lyanne Ramo, who won the male and female overall titles in the standard distance.
Norte clocked two hours, 46 minutes and 16 seconds to bag the title while former teammate Paul Jumamil settled for second place with a time of 2:50.54. Satar Salem claimed third place with a time of 2:55.26.

Ramo crossed the finish line in 3:23.13 to beat teammate Cianyl Gonzales, who settled for second with a time of 3:23.35. Feelin Torres (3:33.38) placed third.

Rider Omega’s Team A also topped the team challenge category while Vic Montebon dominated the 24-below category and Joland Olmilla won the 25-29 years old category.

Other winners for the team were Welmar Saavedra (30-34), Marivic Tan (40-44), Karen Andrea Manayon (super tri kids overall female), and Edwin Yu (40-44).

Aside from Gonzales and Rider Omega Tri Team-B, which finished second in the team challenge, other podium finishers were its relay team, Marielle Estreba (second, super tri kids), Justice Sousa (second, sprint distance), Jose Antonio Yu (third, sprint distance), Lorna Amor (second, 40-44 years old), June Marq Ocaña (third, 40-44 years old), Jory Ycong (second, 25-29 years old), and Alton Vincent Amor (second, 45-49 years old).
