He turned out to have an unresolved allegiance to the US. He resigned.

Next came Vitalian Aguirre II. He was justice chief.

He headed his department for two long years.

Many found that far too long.Especially after efforts to bring wrongdoers to justice appeared to fall short of expectations.

He resigned.

Now comes Wanda Teo.

What wonders did she work as tourism secretary?

What achievements marked her tour of duty?

The public wonders why tens of millions of pesos in department funds went to that little media outfit owned by her brothers.

Not too long ago, the administration promised us that the Cabinet would be composed of the best and the brightest.

Where are the best?

Where are the brightest?

Cabinet appointees seemed to have planned to fail the probity test.

Otherwise the presidential bully pulpit has not been strong enough to see appointees through the Commission on Appointments (CA).

CA rejection lopped at least three off the Cabinet.

There was Gina Lopez, formerly of the environment department.

There was Judy Taguiwalo, social welfare czar.

There was Rafael Mariano, agrarian reform chief.

Will replacements be credible enough to stay the course until 2022 or will appointments to the Cabinet turn out to be the usual game of musical chairs?

Will the ones who vacated their seats realize any need to face the music and act accordingly?
