COMELEC-7 director: “Successful, generally peaceful Barangay, SK elections”

The 2018 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) elections in Central Visayas is successful and generally peaceful.

This was the assessment of the Commission of Elections in Central Visayas (COMELEC-7).

Lawyer Veronico Petalcorin, regional director of COMELEC-7, told reporters that the whole election process was unaffected by reports on election-related disturbances.

“We considered nga successful and peaceful ang votings kay wala’y untoward incidents nga nakadisrupt. And naka sunod ta sa oras (because there are no untoward incidents that disrupted the elections. And we are on time),” said Petalcorin.
