Cebuano Rosauro back in action on Friday

AFTER losing to Chinese prospect Li Kai Wen via submission, Yaw-Yan ArDigma’s ace fighter Roel “Akiyama” Rosauro returns to the cage to face Indonesian Sunoto “The Terminator” Peringkat in the undercard of One Championships: Unstoppable Dream at the Singapore Indoor Stadium, Singapore this Friday.

Rosauro along with Yaw-Yan ArDigma chief Master Benigno “Ekin” Caniga Jr. flew to Singapore yesterday to attend pre-fight activities.

The Camotes Island native has three victories and two losses under his belt while his opponent, Peringkat is far more experienced with eight wins and three losses.

Rosauro will fight in the bantamweight division, down one weight division compared to his debut fight in One Championships against Wen, where he fought in the heavier featherweight division.

Rosauro and Peringkat’s fight is part of the 11 bouts scheduled in the fight card, which includes another Filipino Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) champion Eduard Folayag, who takes on Russian Kharun Atlangeriev in the lightweight division.

The main event will feature Singaporean Women’s One atomweight world champion Angela Lee defending her title against Japanese Mei Yamaguchi.

Two other world title fights will be featured in the fight card with Vietnamese-Aussie One featherweight champion Martin Nguyen squaring off against Lee’s younger brother, Christian Lee.

Also, Sam-a Gaiyanghadao of Thailand and Sergio Wielzen of Suriname, South Africa will fight for the One Super Series Muay Thai flyweight world title.
