UPROAR OVER FOREIGNER NABBED FOR ALLEGEDLY MOLESTING GIRLS

The news on the Russian national who was arrested for allegedly molesting six girls in a subdivision in Barangay Lamac, Consolacion town in northern Cebu drew mixed reactions from the netizens.

A netizen named Sam Mitchell commented:“People like this give all us foreigners a bad reputation! Surely he had a criminal history in Russia. Why was he allowed in the Philippines?”

While Rico Eutiquio Lontoc wrote: “Asa ang mga parents sa mga bata nganu naabot mana sila dha. Angay imbistigaron ang mga parents sa mga bata nganu naabot na sila dha.”

“Isn’t it unfair? That foreigners can easily enter and stay in our country, but it’s so difficult for us to enter other countries? Philippines should implement stricter rules,” said netizen Wisdom M Lazaga.

Authorities rescued six girls ages 5,8,9,11,12, and 16, all from Mandaue City on Friday (May 18).

The rescue operation came after the mother of the 9-year-old victim reported the abuse to the police.
