A picket staged by 150 residents of Sitio Bantayan sa Hari in Barangay Looc, Mandaue City outside Mandaue City Hall to protest the demolition of their houses drew mixed reactions from netizens.
A netizen named Paul Price commented, “Why are u going to tear their houses down and put them out on the streets for why are u going to do this to these nice respectful people for.”
Johnrick Ralf said, “Our government here sucks, they would’ve done it (demolition) before a long time ago, now look what’s happening right now.”
While Marvin Monsanto Cadungog wrote, “Hmm balik na lang kaha mos inyong tagsa-tagsa ka mga probinsya (Why don’t you return to your respective provinces)?”
