DepEd Talisay to investigate implementation of Brigada Eskwela

The Department of Education (DepEd)-Talisay City Division will investigate one of the elementary schools in the city which reportedly refused the enrollment of students who did not participate in Brigada Eskwela.

Atty. Maila Giselle Cutad, spokesperson of DepEd Talisay City Division, confirmed that they received a report on some teachers who declined the enrollment of students.

Teachers also required parents who failed to join Brigada Eskwela to donate boxes of floor wax.

Cutad explained that Brigada Eskwela is voluntary and joining the nationwide initiative is not a requirement for student enrollment.

On the other hand, the DepEd Talisay City Division assures the sufficient number of classrooms to accommodate students in the city.
